I've been listening to the album Goddess by BANKS on repeat lately. It's one of my favorite albums of all time. The songs are mostly about heartbreak and longing for a romance that BANKS knows won't end well. But whereas others might visit these songs to feel sad, I revisit them for joy. All I can think of when I hear "Drowning" and "Fuck Em Only We Know" (my top two songs from the album) is driving to Kansas City and back with my sister and a good friend, Maggie, singing along at the top of our lungs.

I finished Telemarketers last week and I still can't stop thinking about it. It's a three-episode docuseries on telemarketing scams and police unions but it's also about shitty jobs and friendship and finding purpose. Also, How To with John Wilson just finished its final season, and I love the second-person autobiographical thing he does. The vacuum cleaner episode wrecked me, and the finale is not to be missed either. Other than that, I've been listening to various themed playlists I've made (would love to swap links with anyone interested; they're very dumb but let me know), playing Anxious's Little Green House, Jeff Rosenstock's new one, and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket on repeat, as well as catching up on Rob Harvilla's 60 Songs That Explain the 90s.
